Positive growth.
Cheryl Hecht, aka Sherry, grew up riding horses. She loves to be outdoors riding horses, side-by-sides, jet skis, snowmobiles, skis, in the water, out of the water, camping, all activities that include her family and close friends.
One of the best pieces of advice she learned from paternal grandfather, “Find something to laugh about every day of your life.” Amen, Grandpa, Amen!
Cheryl Hecht was born in Helena, Montana. She attended Kessler Elementary School and CR Anderson Middle School. She moved with her family to Bozeman, Montana after seventh grade where she graduated from Bozeman Senior High, 1976. Her passion was horseback riding; it led her to learning how to be a champion breakaway roper. She won the Montana Rodeo Assn. breakaway roping championship in 1978 and 1979. An accomplishement she accredits to her father and a family friend, Hup Davis.
One of her favorite roping pictures was captured a the Deer Lodge MRA Rodeo in 1978. She roped the calf in 2.7 seconds. But the best part of the picture is all of the people in the background she admired and/or competed against.
In 2022, their daughter was married at the top of their property. It was a beautiful day celebrated with family and friends.
